New Year, New Me: Invitation To Book Early January 1-To-1 Interview Slots
Happy New Year and invitation to book early 1-To-1 interview for January 2024
Happy belated New Year RadCasters (it isn’t too late to still say this right)?!
How time flies when you’re having fun and lo and behold, another year has come and gone. Normally at this stage of the year, when everything is fresh, we do some melodramatic recap of the year and get all emo on you. But honestly, who cares? Things are blessed, do I need say any more? Regardless, we have bigger fish to fry which is a perfect segment to our 1-to-1 interview practice sessions.
Now that the MSRA is out of the way, good riddance to bad rubbish, many of you will be “chillaxing”. That’s fine and it makes sense since shortlisting for interviews will be based on your MSRA score. However, we also know that some of you have an appetite to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and start whipping your interview skills into shape now. That’s perfectly fine too and makes sense since the interview format is changing this year so you’ll want to be ahead of the curve. For those of you in this camp, as is the RadCast way, we’ll do what we can to help you out as well. That is why we’ve released a short amount of 1-to-1 interview slots for the month of January. As you can see, they are extremely limited as the bulk of the slots will be made available in February once shortlisting for interviews is done. You can book directly via the button below:
In terms of how the 1-to-1 interview sessions will work, it will consist of a 45 minute mock interview held virtually online. The format will be 2x15 minute stations (reflecting the new interview format) and we’ll try to replicate the interview structure to the best of our ability. How? Great question! Just like Colonel Sander’s secret blend of spices for his “finger licking chicken”, we at RadCast have got our own secret sauce which combines our experience of helping hundreds of candidates over the last 5+ years, in addition to, feedback from successful candidates (often being ranked in the top 100). But in all honestly, we think the interviews this year will go “old school”. How so? Whilst we don’t have a crystal ball to predict the future, we think the interviews will be as such:
Interview Station One - let’s see if the candidate has the skills to pay the bills and push them about their knowledge of radiology as a specialty/career?
Interview Station Two - bamn, I activate my trap card! Whilst you may know about A.I in radiology, do you have the skills and attributes for career in radiology?
Now, the 2nd station is very similar to the current interview format but for many of you, you won’t be aware of the first interview station format. You see, this was the format pre-2021, when you were still babies, and heavily focused on your understanding of radiology as a specialty/career. From awareness of the exam structure to issues surrounding skills mix, all was fair game and routinely asked in the interview. But as is the RadCast way, we are here to help since funnily enough, we based our Clinical Radiology Application Course (CRAC) on the first interview format! So all these weird and wonderful topics yeah, we’ve already covered in great depth and over the years, added to that content to reflect the new style. All in all, we can kinda brag that we cover the application and the interview from A-to-Z (cause we kinda have *wipes dust off shoulder*). You can check out our curriculum and if you want, join the course to get exclusive invite-only- access to our community where you can get support/immediate answers to your questions.
For those of you that want to hold your horses till shortlisting, we totally get that too. With that being said, we are finalising our availability for the bulk of our interviewers in February. We’re nearly there but trying to free up as many slots as possible so all of you can get the chance to do a mock with us and maximise your interview technique (Uzoma gets real sad when ‘computer says no’ and there aren’t any more slots left). We won’t be releasing these slots just yet and will only make them available to book once shortlisting is done.
Till then, have an amazing 2024. This is going to be YOUR year and we’ll do whatever we can at RadCast to help you get there.
Here's to 2024!
