Commiserations or Congratulations, RadCast Is Here To Help
Whether you have or have not been shortlisted for interview, we're here to help you on the next step of your application journey
Hey everyone,
Hope you’re having a wonderful Tuesday afternoon (I’m post on-call so I’m definitely making the most of it)!
We know this weekend has been super hectic for you guys and we want you all to know we are here for you. So, in this email, I’m going to outline the support channels we have available to you if you have or haven’t been shortlisted for an interview.
If you got shortlisted
Firstly, congratulations! You’re now one step closer to that training number. Based on the huge influx of applicants this year, it looks like the interview is going to be more important than ever. If last year was the year of the MSRA (top 55 getting in), this year is going to be the year of the interview! So, it’s super critical you guys prepare to the best of your ability, especially considering ethics was re-introduced last year and that threw a lot of candidates off guard. So, how can we help?
First, we have a Clinical Radiology Application Course (CRAC). We love CRAC and I’m sure you love CRAC too. 56 modules, 6+ hours of content covering the application A-Z. Genuinely, it’s all in one place, available 24/7. We even included modules covering the new ethic questions. What more could you ask for?! You can sign up here.
Well, we offer 1-to-1 interview sessions to give you personalised feedback. Since candidates got shortlisted, we’ve been swamped with requests for sessions. If you managed to book on, please check our availability sheet and get back to us with a date/time. We’re literally running out of slots and we’re trying to increase capacity but can’t promise anything. It’s first come, first served so please, reserve your slots ASAP. If you want to learn more about our interview sessions, you can find out here.
If you weren’t able to get booked in, we are trying to increase capacity. If a last minute slot becomes available (we do have slots for today), we’ll email you. If you want to be on this list, you can reserve your spot by emailing us via the button below.
If you didn’t get shortlisted
We’re so sorry to hear that. Genuinely, the MSRA is an absolute bitch. If you want any support or guidance on what to do next, how to improve for next years application or just want to get things off your chest, reach out to us. We know it’s hard processing rejection but please know, our doors are always open for you. All you need to do is contact us via the button below.
Final words
We recently received word about the future of radiology applications. Specifically, it looks like funding has been secured for an additional 100-110 training posts for the next 2 years (including this year). So, it looks positive. But, we’ve also received info that due to the large influx of candidates, the recruitment leads are actively looking for ways to help them shortlist candidates. One thing that they are revisiting is the MSRA and in particular, whether they want to bring back the top 55 MSRA candidates getting a direct offer. Whether this would have benefitted you or not, that’s irrelevant. The key point here is that things are dynamically changing and looking to get more difficult. That’s why you need to be on your A-game from today onwards.
As always, feel free to get in touch via hello@radcast.co.uk. Until next time, take care!
Much love from the RadCast Team
