Bigger, Bolder and Badder: Radiology Crash Course Version 2.0
We're back with a bang! Sign up to our Radiology Crash Course V2
RadCast is 5 years old! Truthfully, we didn’t realise until LinkedIn reminded us (yes we’re that boujee). Group hug everyone? No. Okay, jeez.
Now, Einstein once famously said “RadCast is the best thing since sliced bread, especially that beefcake Uzoma”. Well, that’s probably an exaggeration (apart from the beefcake bit, that’s 100% accurate). But apparently, he is known to have said that “if you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough”. We believe this is particularly true when it comes to radiology.
You see, radiology teaching is pretty sh*t at med school and as a junior doctor. Like don’t try to deny it because we definitely don’t. In fact, radiology teaching often becomes a subject of rote memorisation. Basically, memorise fancy Latin words and fancy signs often named after food (because radiologists get cravings in-between scans). But really, is that how you should be taught a subject? Hell no!
We at RadCast believe that subjects should be understood, with solid foundations at the core of your knowledge. Like honestly, radiology is being threatened not only by supercomputers that utilise quantum algorithms but more worryingly, pigeons who can recognise patterns. Now I have nothing against promoting skills mix with our clinical bird colleagues but you did spend 5 years at med school, 2 years being a TTO monkey and maybe an extra year earning £££ as a chad locum. Surely, you’re more capable than just a pigeon…right?
Well we certainly believe so and that’s why we’re proud to invite you to our bigger, bolder and badder Radiology Crash Course V2! It’s basically our Crash Course V1 on steroids which have been directly injected into that sweet, sweet glute. The whole point of this course is to teach you the fundamentals you need to know in order to survive the daunting imaging you deal with on the wards, A&E and during on-calls. And seriously, we mean the fundamentals like teaching you the need to know physics to explain why things appear the way they do on X-Ray and CT (minus the actual boring parts, no offence Einstein).
In terms of practicalities, the course will be delivered through a hybrid model (so fancy) with pre-recorded lectures available as soon as you sign up and a series of live lectures that will be delivered on the 10th of September between 10am to 4pm GMT. Plus there’s some sweet national prizes available for the best radiology audit and reflection (great for boosting that portfolio). So what are you waiting for? You can check out the course outline and sign up via the button below:
FYI, if you’ve just recently signed up to our Crash Course V1, don’t worry. We’ll transfer your enrollment to V2 meaning you’ll have access to the new content. Just please get in touch with us so we can add your name to the transfer list.
As always, we’re happy to answer any questions you have. Just send us an email to hello@radcast.co.uk.
Till next time,
